How It All Began

The Power of Connecting with Purpose

The seeds of Tribe to Tribe were sown when our founders, Eva-Maria and Thor, encountered the transformative power of circles, coaching and meditation on their personal journeys to overcome stress, negative belief systems and trauma. They witnessed how profound healing and growth unfolds when people connect with heartfelt intention and purpose.

Deeply moved by their experience, they felt a calling to share these meaningful practices with others. Their vision was simple: to make empowering tools for reflection, healing, and connection accessible to people everywhere, regardless of location or background.

Transformation happens best when it’s done together – with love, joy, and the heartfelt purpose of creating a better future for all of us. That’s why everything we do is centered around meaningful connections and empowering each other along the way.”

2016: A Life-Changing Encounter

Eva-Maria and Thor had long felt a deep resonance with Indigenous cultures, especially their connection to the Earth. In 2016, a profound encounter with the Hopi Tribe in Arizona became a turning point for Eva-Maria and Thor.

This experience not only opened their hearts and minds even deeper to the ancient wisdom of Indigenous communities but also ignited a genuine desire to support tribal empowerment across the globe.

2024: The Pieces Come Together

After 8 years of lovingly holding their calling in their hearts, 2024 brought a series of powerful synchronicities. During Dr. Joe Dispenza retreats, Eva- Maria and Thor connected with the transformative work of NeuroChangeSolutions (NCS) and the Give to Give Foundation, who were already running workshops with the Lakota Tribe.

At the same time, a friend from the Hopi Reservation called for help and everything fell into place: Tribe to Tribe became the manifested response to this call. Within 8 weeks the first two NCS workshops were held in the Hopi Reservation.

Today Tribe to Tribe is registered in the Pine Ridge Reservation (South Dakota) as an independent nonprofit corporation of the Give to Give Foundation.

2025: Growth Beyond All Expectations

What started with a heartfelt intention quickly began to ripple around the world.

In its first year, Tribe to Tribe worked with more than 1,000 Indigenous people from 16 different tribes and nations across the globe – from North to Central America, from Mongolia to Aboriginal Australia.

Among them were Lakota, Hopi, Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone, Navajo, Cree, Métis, Maya, Mixtec, Zapotec, Wixárika, Tepehuanos, Ngäbe-Buglé, Mongolian, and Aboriginal communities.

After the workshops, participants began carrying the experience back into their communities – starting self-led circles where reflection, connection, and inner change could continue.

2026: The Journey Continues

So far, Tribe to Tribe has reached more than 1,500 people across 20+ Indigenous communities worldwide through workshops and circles.

As this work continues to grow, self-led circles are now being used not only by Indigenous people but by people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. The resources have been opened to anyone who wants to create a meaningful space for connection, reflection, and community.

Tribe to Tribe has also begun bringing people into larger gatherings – spaces where communities can deepen the experience, strengthen local leadership, and carry the work forward in their own way. So far, events have been held in Oaxaca, Mexico; on Lakota lands, including Pine Ridge, Rapid City, and Standing Rock; and in Six Nations territories, including Haudenosaunee and Mohawk communities – with more gatherings continuing to emerge in other communities as well.

“The neuroscience-based workshops in Indigenous communities are just the beginning. Lasting transformation requires ongoing self-work. To address this challenge, Tribe to Tribe provides meaningful connections that empower people to stay aligned with the changes they seek to create.”
